This event includes faculty, administration, doctors, nurses, engineers, community health workers, and students interested in global health. A buffet of Guatemalan food will be also featured.
All proceeds from tickets and silent auction sales will directly benefit Primeros Pasos "First Steps" Medical Clinic in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Inter-American Health Alliance at U.Va.
Founded in 2007 by two fourth-year students at the University, the Inter-American Health Alliance at U.Va. (IAHA) supports and helps to sustain Primeros Pasos, a non-profit, independent organization that provides health care and health education to underserved communities in the Palajunoj valley of Quetzaltenango, Guatemala.

Primeros Pasos is a well-run and cost-effective organization, and it provides an invaluable service to its surrounding communities. Each year, Primeros Pasos provides free medical care, health education, and dental care to almost six thousand patients in the Palajunoj Valley of Guatemala.

Five Times Five Hundred is a fundraising campaign to provide sustaining support for Primeros Pasos. With a team of 500 sustaining members donating just 5 dollars a month, Primeros Pasos can continue to bring health care to thousands in need.
